Satanic Panic Part 2 ⚖️The McMartin Trial

During the Satanic Panic of the 1980s, there were over 12,000 cases of unsubstantiated satanic sexual ritual abuse

It started in 1980, with the publication of a “memoir” called Michelle Remember written by a Canadian psychiatrist Lawrence Pazder about his patient (and future wife) Michelle Smith. Pazder used recovered memory therapy for over 600 hours of sessions with Smith. She “remembered” abuse starting at the hand of her mother at around age five. Later, she recounted tales of sexual and satanic ritual abuse by the Church of Satan, and then it turned into an elite group of powerful men and women who had children kidnapped for sexual favors, pornography, ritualistic abuse, and human sacrifice. The basis of these claims are now the underpinnings of the QAnon conspiracy.

Pazder toured with Michelle and did talks about how to spot satanic ritual abuse. He was a consultant on many cases including the McMartin preschool trial. Pazder even traveled to the Vatican with his allegations.

Much of the book was discredited. None of the allegations in the book lined up with real-life dates and timelines. “ During the rites, Smith was allegedly tortured, locked in cages, sexually assaulted, forced to take part in various rituals, witnessed several murders, and was rubbed with the blood and body parts of various killed babies and adults.”

McMartin Preschool Trial started with allegations in 1983. It results in hundreds of accusations of satanic sexual abuse at the hands of the daycare. The investigation lasted for four years from 1983-1987 and the trial lasted for three years from 1987-1990. After a thorough investigative process, the McMartin trial became the most expensive criminal case in American history and resulted in ZERO convictions. By 1990 ALL charges were dropped.

The allegations when a preschool mom reported that her son had been sodomized by her ex-husband and a teacher at the daycare named Ray Buckley. The mother had no proof except her child was having painful bowel movements. She also accused the school of forcing the kids to have sex with animals.

Buckley was arrested and questioned but not charged because of lack of evidence.

The mom who initially started the accusations was later hospitalized and diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and died of complications of alcoholism in 1996.

Hundreds of children were interviewed and 360 children were flagged for sexual abuse. Of those 360, only 41 actually testified in the trial.

The interviewing process of the children was highly discredited because the interviewers basically fed information to the kids with “scenarios” vs facts.

Some of the claims included sexual abuse, flying witches, rides in air balloons to undisclosed sites, underground tunnels that led to ritual rooms and satanic orgies. Chuck Norris was considered part of this elite satanic church and identified as an abuser.

During the time of the allegations, she was not diagnosed yet. So she claims her taken seriously. A letter was sent to the 200 families who had kids at the daycare. The letter read:

“September 8, 1983

Dear Parent:

This Department is conducting a criminal investigation involving child molestation (288 P.C.) Ray Buckey, an employee of Virginia McMartin’s Pre-School, was arrested September 7, 1983 by this Department.

The following procedure is obviously an unpleasant one, but to protect the rights of your children as well as the rights of the accused, this inquiry is necessary for a complete investigation.

Records indicate that your child has been or is currently a student at the pre-school. We are asking your assistance in this continuing investigation. Please question your child to see if he or she has been a witness to any crime or if he or she has been a victim. Our investigation indicates that possible criminal acts include: oral sex, fondling of genitals, buttock or chest area, and sodomy, possibly committed under the pretense of “taking the child’s temperature.” Also photos may have been taken of children without their clothing. Any information from your child regarding having ever observed Ray Buckey to leave a classroom alone with a child during any nap period, or if they have ever observed Ray Buckey tie up a child, is important.

Please complete the enclosed information form and return it to this Department in the enclosed stamped return envelope as soon as possible. We will contact you if circumstances dictate same.

We ask you to please keep this investigation strictly confidential because of the nature of the charges and the highly emotional effect it could have on our community. Please do not discuss this investigation with anyone outside your immediate family. Do not contact or discuss the investigation with Raymond Buckey, any member of the accused defendant’s family, or employees connected with the McMartin Pre-School.

THERE IS NO EVIDENCE TO INDICATED THAT THE MANAGEMENT OF VIRGINIA MCMARTIN’S PRE-SCHOOL HAD ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THIS SITUATION AND NO DETRIMENTAL INFORMATION CONCERNING THE OPERATION OF THE SCHOOL HAS BEEN DISCOVERED DURING THIS INVESTIGATION. ALSO, NO OTHER EMPLOYEE IN THE SCHOOL IS UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR ANY CRIMINAL ACT.[8]”

Satanic Panic Part 1 😱How it All Started and Never Stopped

Factors that contributed to Satanic Panic in the late 60s and early 70s

Manson Killings in 1969

The founding of the Church of Satan with Anton Lavey at its helm in the late 60s. In 1966 Lavey published the infamous Satanic Bible

In 1971, the book The Exorcist came out. It was said to be based on a true story. The movie came out in 1973 – Ruined the OUIJA board forever.

In 1972, Lavey published his book Satanic Rituals, and the book Satan Seller by Christian evangelist Mike Warnke came out. In the book, he claimed he was a satanic priest, and performed rituals including sex orgies. The book was largely discredited and it later came out that most of it was fabricated.

In 1977, the Amityville house became popular with the talk show circuit from the DeFeos and the movies. The Warrens went on television talking about their fight against demonic entities. Movies based on their life include the whole Conjuring series. They also had a hand in the Haunting in Connecticut. The book: Demonologist came out in 1980. Much of it is said to be fiction or overhyped to sell copies.  Their nephew is John Zaffis who has a purported “demonologist” and has a show called Haunted Collector on Syfy.

There was also the rise of the former Satanic cult member to fundamentalist Christian conversion arc. Where men including outspoken activist John Todd who talked proclaimed the world was run by satanic cults and spoke out against witches, rock and roll, and dungeons and dragons as gateways to satanism. He worked heavily with Jack Chick of Chick-Lit pamphlets. They were these little comic pamphlets with a lot of Baptist fire and brimstone. My dad used to make me throw them on street corners.

In 1977, there was the Son of Sam killings and his stories about the demonic dog. A new doc came out this year about Berkowitz called Son of Sam Descent into Darkness. https://www.netflix.com/title/81059887 The premise is that Berkowitz didn’t act alone and he was part of a Satanic cult in NY in the 80s called “The Children”.

Juxtaposed to that we had a resurgence of the Spiritualist movement in the form of what we call New Age. Trance channeling, crystals, sage, indigo children, starseeds, alien contact were all a thing. Shirley McClaine wrote a book about her past life regressions. She found out she saw the sinking of Atlantis. She also believes in karma and reincarnation. Her book, Out on a Limb came out in 1983. Brad Steiger’s books about starseeds came out in the early 90s. Furthered the evolution of what the new age movement was about and the Delores Cannon furthered the movement with her books about past life regression and creating a new world.

The 80s – Ronald Reagan – a godhead for the Nuclear Family. Getting back to good ol’ fashioned family values (this should start to sound familiar to you.) He was fighting against the AID pandemic (gays are bad), kids being kidnapped while playing in the middle-class neighborhoods (by pedophiles and Satanists) – which led to kids being on milk cartons, clown murderers – John Wayne Gacy and Ronald Clark O Bryan aka the Candy Mankiller. Used cyanide laced pix stix to kill.

Trump ran on the platform of Make America Great Again. Again, good ol’ American values. He fought against the border (Mexicans are bad), Christianity (Dems are Satanists and pedophiles via Pizzagate), Hillary (women are inherently evil), trans-rights (gays are bad again, and our children are at risk). White male Christians and the women who enable them are the only inherit good.

The 80s was also the rise of extreme evangelists like Jerry Falwell and anti-cult spokesman like Pat Pulling. She started BADD (Bothered About Dungeons and Dragons) after her son committed suicide. She claimed that role-playing games like DND brought  demonology witchcraft and satanism into the home. Late she wrote a book called the Devil’s Web: Who is Stalking Your Children for Satan where she added that police should investigate anyone who has a copy of the Necronomicon because they are Satanists. She also declared that 8% of the population were practicing Satanists – 4% were teenagers.

The media got on the bandwagon. Especially Geraldo Rivera. He’s like the forefather of the shock documentary. In 1998, he produced a documentary called Devil Worship: Exposing Satan’s Underground. Today, Rivera still is going strong. He is a Fox news correspondent, a huge proponent of the alt-right and supported the Trump movement. He later suggested Trump sucede after the Jan 6th insurrection and backpedaled a bit even though he claims he’s very good friends with Trump

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qocBf3_mmic

In 1991, 20/20 aired “My name is Minga” an official Roman Catholic exorcism

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcffUDCFA7Y which brought on a lot of fear that anyone could be possessed by the devil or demons. The difference between mounting and possession.

There were also documentaries like Hells Bells which concluded that all rock music as a gateway to satanism, devil worship, and possession. (This should also sound familiar: Lil Nas Montero and Travis Scott’s Astroworld)

Bob Larson had a radio show called Talk Back where he spoke against satanism, rock music, and role-playing games, and satanic ritual abuse. He’s still going strong today and now performs exorcisms. His claim to fame is confronting “Satanists” and debating them on tv shows. https://youtu.be/-06m0M75w7s

Teal Swan has proclaimed to be ritualistically abused during her childhood by a Satanic cult run by one of her father’s friends and babysitters. She was put under regression by Barbara Snow who was fundamental in one of the child abuse cases from the Satanic Panic movement. She was later denounced as a fraud. https://gizmodo.com/weve-launched-an-investigative-podcast-about-a-controve-1826416613

The CIA UFO Papers 🛸 Interview with Dan Wright

In autumn 2016 the CIA sent to its website a cache of electronic files previously released under the Freedom of Information Act but housed at the National Archives.

This book consists of selections from those secret files. Dan Wright spent 18 months selecting, editing, and organizing the 550 files that are relevant to UFO research and has produced a chronological collection of CIA documents spanning 1949 to 2000.

Each chapter focuses on a particular year. The summary of documents for each year is followed by a section called “While You Were Away from Your Desk,” which provides historical and cultural context for the document summaries and examines other sightings and contacts that are not mentioned in the CIA files.

Among the fascinating tidbits are:

  • A memo to J Edgar Hoover about flying saucer reports
  • The 1949 conference at Los Alamos that include Edward Teller, upper atmosphere physicist Dr. Joseph Kaplan, and other renowned scientists in which the participants debated whether recent incidents were natural phenomena or UFO sightings

This is a must-have book for those fascinated by the history of UFO sightings and those interested in government secrets and cover-ups.
